IH 18-12' field cultivator

Hi I was just wondering how much horse power is required to pull a 12' field cultivator? I am currently looking at one and need to know.

Not sure what the 18 means in your subject?

Anyhow, I pulled a 16 foot (with 3 bar harrow) with a 85 hp tractor alright tho a bit slow, & now a 22 foot IHC 45 with 2-bar harrow with a 140 hp tractor real well. I have rather heavy wet yellow clay soils.

So, 5-6 hp per foot would be great, not too much less if in light soils & no harrow?
