Been to several farm stores looking for a 3 point bale spear in CAT2.

Somebody make them?

I have a spear that works with either Cat I or Cat II wide or narrow. It has two top link holes one for Cat I and the other larger one for Cat II. For narrow Cat II or Cat I, you put the bottom pins on the inside. For wide Cat II, they go on the outside. I use it on a tractor that has a Cat I/II 3 point. I bought it at auction, but I think it came from the local Farm Co-op store.

I don't know what your looking at but you can change anything on the tractor or the bale spear to fit whatever category you want its just a matter of bushings or attachment pins. All are available at any farm supply unless your looking for something I don't understand.

Funny - all I can find is cat 2 type equipment.....

Fred Cain makes one with a hyd cylinder to lift & tip the bale, sissors action as you lift for more height. Several farm supply places handle it. Cat 2.

Paul, your right. I'have never in my life seen a category 1 bale spear. In most cases a category 1 tractor won't lift a bale.
Mud, you've got something wrong I think....

I get most things wrong, but I got this one right somehow.

Have CAT1 spear that we share between neighbors. Now a bigger tractor. Guess what? Dont fit.

lol. Just the opposite here. Only CAT.1 where ever I look. I'll look into Fred Cain. I dont need to stack, just a simple spear will do.
Thanks - mud

Is this on the 1850? If so, there are spacer blocks and shims that are removed for cat1 implements. These blocks and shims are located between the lift arm and the wear plate. (I say wear plate for lack of a better term.
The plate, on the lift arm, that rubs against the stabilizer blocks.)
I use a cat 1 spear on mine all the time.
