I need ploughshares for an IH #39 2 furrow rollover plough (Hi Curt) and the IH dealers around here usually have kids on the counter that only answer "Never heard of it/Not in the system" and JD cross-match system is the same. Shoup is NO help and neither is Crescent Forge and Shovel. Called Crescent 6 times and no reply. No help from the Plow shop in NY state. Could anyone tell me the phone number of IH dealers in Colorado or Wyoming or Nebraska where these things were used and the dealer has a partsman at least 60 years old who hates computers? No hurry at all, but I'd like to talk to someone who has seen one of these. I had it out in the field trying it out, the neighbour went past, looked, looked again and drove into the ditch. No damage but I caught quite a screaming.

Roy: Agricultural colleges here never did teach ploughing or stockmanship or any of the hands-on "work". It was always "on-the-job" training.
Colleges were/are by the book, you get your piece of paper at the end of it, and then you start learning or carry on from what Dad taught you.

Groshans in Central City NE may still have some
one there who can help you. I have moved away from the area so have not delt with them for several years and I do not recall this fellows name.Old guy works in the shop.

Tom, it sounds like Canada still in the Stone-age like U.S.A. where farm equipment is concerned! (Joking) I hardly ever see a NON reversible plough in U.K. these days, unless of course apart from those used at ploughing matches (or at a vintage tractor rally! )I dont even think agricultural colleges bother to teach students "rig and furrow" ploughing now.
