Vermeer actually printed up lit.on these pickers but one of the problems is it must of had a mile of roller chain on it and a zillion sprockets even was going to be a sweet corn harvester but couldn't compete w/Byron Enterprises in New York who was a established sweet corn harvester producer.

Old News Release,
Vermeer was looking at diversification into other farm related products during that period but what happened was the industrial side of the business boomed because Deere and CAT were out sourcing Vermeer for many types of production. They did not build many corn pickers.

That must be a very old article becuase Vermeer has not had corn pickers for a long time and I don't think they will be getting back into that market.

1988 article. Said they had built 1 prototype, were going to sell for under $26,000. Three row 30 inch, or 2 row 38 inch models. John Deere snappers on it.
