I see back in July DRL asked about wire for a stationary baler. Has anyone came up with a source for this? I am looking for 7 foot wires with one twisted end.

I did some searching and found the wire at McMaster-Carr. 8 foot is the shortest length and is $5.31 for a bundle of 25. If you order from them, I would suggest that you find a business that deals with them regularly in order to get a break on the shipping costs. Shipping to my house was just about as much as the wire itself. Go to their website and in the search section type in baling wire, then scroll down the page a bit and you will find it. You can use the cardboard bale wire, but it is such a heavy gauge that it will be hard to tie as well as probably way too long.

Make them your self go and get a roll of bailing wire from a farm supply cut and twist loops to the size you need.

I was able to locate some at a place that deals in cardboard compactors. They were 9' long and had a twist in the one end. Hope that helps!
