New Holland says that their 570 Baler requires a 65 Horsepower tractor. Have you guys had any experience with this. I thought 40 hp would take care of any square baler without a thrower.

Sure you could run it just you couldn't run it right full. If you have hills it may cause some problems.

I have a 570 45hp should run it fine. Just wind it up to speed and let the flywheel do its thing. I'd be concerned if you had a thrower.

One of my customers happily runs a 575 and 72 thrower with a 52 PTO HP MFD Ford 4610. You can run it, maybe not to capacity.

I think a 570 is a fairly high capacity machine. 40 hp. would probably run it ok. It probably would not bale to it's capacity though. I use 80 hp on our Deere 40 series balers. Sometimes it seems to take all of that in heavy hay on a hill, when running them to full capacity.

I have a 45 HP (PTO HP) John Deere, and was wondering if I would have any problems with the 570. Thanks for the input!
