basket weeder

I have a chance to purchase a Buddhing(sp) basket weeder. I passed one up a few years ago and have been kicking myself ever since. Any idea on a fair price? Its about six feet wide overall and is set to cultivate three rows. It was on a cub. I am located about 90 mile south of Seattle, there are alot of truck farms in the area so things do seem to go for a premium. Thanks in advance.

The yellow one in the middle. There is a set of gears and chains that force the two 'basket' rollers to travel at different speeds, causing the basket wires to tear under the weeds, uprooting them.

If anyone else can explain it better, have at it.

That is something entirely different than I have ever seen here in northwest central Ohio, would that work in the hard heavy clay soils we have here?

HI Mile,

I don't know what Michael paid for his, but I can ask when I talk to him. It's a neat little implement. Our price might be a bit lower than what they would go for out there. They were manufactured just south of Grand Rapids, plus this area was full of small vegetable operations. Now the small growers have either gotten big, or gave up on veggies and started growing houses. Probably a little easier to come by around here.
