Does anyone know if you can have a Cummins diesel put in a Ford F450?

I put a 210 Cube Cummins in my '71 C-20 Chevy pickup for less than what I'd have had in rebuilding the 350 V-8..... ..... Getting awesome fuel economy with it to boot. IMO, I don't see why more aren't retrofiting vehicles with diesels, I am already planning my next one.

It can be done but it costs a hell of a lot of $$$$$$$! Most of the time the old truck won't be worth what you have invested after the conversion.

I think that if you had a Ford with a Cummins the worth of the truck would be beyond defining! It can't cost more than a new truck and I feel you would have the equivalent.

Not really, the rest of the truck is still old. Just cause you put a good engine in it doesn't make an old 100,000 mile or more truck worth what a new one is. And then there is the matter of who is doing the conversion, even some of the better one's look pretty cruddy to me. I've only seen one or two that I would have wanted to own.

Yes you can. Check out Peak Sales,
fordcummins.com and cummins-conversion.com, Also check the Turbo Diesel Registry, they have a forum on conversions.

I"ve seen a 6BT (5.9) in a Ford Pickup before. Just need the right transmission adapter if you use your existing transmission.
