I JUST BOUGHT A JOHN DEERE 612 PLOW FROM A JUNK DEALER THAT WAS GETTING READING TO CUT IT UP FOR JUNK, I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS IF YOU CAN GET PLOW SHARES FOR IT AND WHERE? AND MAYBE WHAT YEAR IT WAS BUILT? THANKS FOR ANY IMFORMATION ANYONE COULD GIVE ME THANKS VERY MUCH. G.F.

The 612 number is just the beam number, your plow is a #52 made from 1934-1947. It could have any of a number of different bottoms on it (and shares). Some aftermarket shares are available at farm supply stores, a good place to look is salvage yards and swap meets. You may need to take an old one along to match it up.
