Someone gave me a Dearborn #17-43 sickle bar mower and I do not have a clue on how it wrks or how to set it up. Can anyone help me. Send pics or what ever you mat have showing how to kook it up. Also does anyone know where to find a manual or parts. My pitman arm is broken and I did some reading and found that you can make them with wood. Ant ideas. Mine has a metal pipe on it and I don"t see how a wooden one would work.

How about a link to that page or an address so I can find it?

You may have a 14-73 mower, it is older than the ones you read about that have a wood pitman, reprint manuals can be ordered from n-newsdotcom then click on archives then see the number behind the manual listed and mail them that many postage stamps or origial manuals are sold on Ebay sometimes, if you can describe the exact part you need I may be able to help. Did you get the lift arm extensions, the special top link bracket and the R.H. stabilizer bracket with ball which often are left on the tractor instead of given with the mower?
