I need a knotter frame for a Ford baler, I heard that there is a baler junked out close to Nachogdoches but I haven't had a chance to go and check it out. I was wondering if someone might have one that they would sell me cheap. I am not sure yet if the older Ford baler knotter is the same as the 542,need to check in some of these books and find out. Thanks

There was a 542 on the north side of 324 (Cushing Hyw) about 5 miles or so from Cushing on the Nac side (259) [a couple/3 years ago] - don't know if it is still there or not.

Baler was complete (at the time)& appeared to be in working order, 'except' it had , had a 'serious' run-in with a tree right in the middle of the pickup reel.

Owner wasn't home, & wife wasn't real clear about whether it was for sale at the time or not - only that it had been 'parked' for the last time! (apparently the baler wasn't working just right & he was wanting a round baler, anyway!!)

Haven't made it back by there, the last year or so to see if it is still there, or not.

Know of a 532 in Lufkin that is also parked & rusting to death, but is/was definately 'not for sale' the last I inquired about it----can get ya a name & (maybe) a ph number for it if ya want to try your luck at getting it.

Directions correction in reply to NHBalerman, 09-03-2005 19:20:40
NHBalerman,

Correcting myself -- Cushing Hyw # is 204, not 324.

Can't find my old 'notes', but best I can figure from a map, between Humble Camp Rd. on Trawick/259 side & Dalmont Rd. on Oak Flat/Cushing side. On north side of hyw 204, Look for a (brownish)brick house/wood trim with concrete drive, old implements scattered on 1 - 2 acre fenced area, immediately joining the front yard to the west. Several trees/bushes obstructing view of equipment.

Can't say for sure that the 542 is still there or not as its been well over a year since the last time I was by there.

What model and just what do you need. Have a spare I4-80 (model 250) red baler. Parts are used but if you just need a frame or something like that I may be able to help.

7500751 knotter frame used on 14-80 sn 5843 and up looks to be the same as used on the 532/542 balers. Prior to 14-80 sn 5843 is different.
