I need the 8" flat idler wheel for a Ford 515 mower. The bearing keepers came out, ruined the bearing and wallowed out the bearing opening in the idler wheel.

This item is no longer available from New Holland/Ford. Any help in finding a good used (or a new) one would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

Thanks for the note Dan and offer of assistance. I do have a manual for my 515 mower.

I have not been able to find a new or used replacement for the idler wheel.
The bearing in the center of the 8 inch flat idler wheel is still available. I found a machine shop that is going to attempt to rebuild the center of the idler, press the new bearing in and then use stainless steel washers welded in place to hold the bearing in.

It is supposed to be ready late tomorrow. We will see if it works. If it is not absolutely balanced it will just come apart again.

Thanks again.

Joe
