Gonna rewire a small utility trailer (4x8) and I keep think'n (ok - that's the first problem!) that if I could flip that thing over, upside down, the whole process would be much easier. Anybody know an easy way to do this - without breaking off a wheel / axle or damaging the tounge...??

I rewired a 6'x9' tilt bed trailer last year and I flipped it over by myself. Put jackstands under it and wired it while it was upside down. Made the job ten times easier!!

If the wheels and axles are going to break that easily then the trailer shouldn't be on the road in the first place, and if the hitch bends, well, same story. A 4X8 shouldn't be all that heavy, get a buddy to help you, get ahold of it on one side and just flip it over.

Well if you have an A frame type of engine hoist you could stand it up on end and work on it. Or if you have a tractor with loader you could also do it that way.

or use a come-along to lift the tongue up a tree, or against a building!

I like doing it with trailer on its wheels--that way if I get tired I am already laying down and can take a little nap
