I am thinking about buying a new mower. I would like to know what people think the best mowers are. Keep in mind they must have a 13' cut width or above. Thank-you to all that respond!!

You might want to look at the Vermeer MC1030 DiscPro- 13'3" cut. You have a choice of 3 styles of conditioners.

Quick change 5mm blades

I bought a new Hesston 12' disc mower/conditioner center pivot hydraulic swing 6 years ago. I've mowed about 600 acres per year with it. Other than to change the knives once a year, and change the oil in the cutterbar, I've never touched it! It's been the most dependable mower I've ever owned in my life. I probably went through 3-4 New Holland haybines prior to this Hesston. Since you need a 13'er..... I'm assuming you have substantial acreage to mow. In open fields (no terraces) I can mow 10 acres per hour and do a neat job of it to boot. I mow mainly alfalfa and keep the conditioner rolls cranked down pretty tight. I am showing some wear now on the rubber roll. Just my opinion.
