I went to get a coulter for the plough-Ford Model 150; fellow in TSC says- What's a coulter?
JD parts guy- We don't stock any and it'll take three days to get one from a jobber house. This at a JD dealer which has 5 branches and probably about 25% of all JD business in Ontario. Then I go to the oldest IH dealer in Ontario where the same family has owned it for 75 years for plough shares for a 39 rollover plough and while he has a parts book for the plough, there is no listing for plough shares for it. WELL. Looks like it's gonna be a road trip to Shoup. I think there is maybe only one outfit that forges plough shares anymore in North America and maybe I knew the name once, but I've forgotten. Anybody gone looking for old plough shares lately?

Place mentioned on this site all the time for shares, do a search for Farmer Browns Plow ?, Just go thru all old & archive posts on all forums about plows and you will find the full information

Farmer Browns Plow Shop in Short Tract, NY near Hunt, NY has parts for horse drawn and old pull type plows, call 585-567-8158 and give them your part numbers.

Finding parts for any older plow these days is getting to be pretty hard. I've got old Dearborn plows that I just can't get parts for. Smae with Case. Oddly enough there;s supposed to be a guy casting up new points for older plows out west someplace. He had an add in the last Tractor Shop magazine.
