Got up early today to check the weather, one channel says I've got no hope the other says its great out... Well, at this time of year it isn't getting a lot better!

So I headed up and mowed third party image

The other tractor I have done most my mowing on this year is sitting inside our foundation with a snowblower on the back moving sand for the floor so it was left out

Hopefully we'll get a nice load like the community service lads stacked for us last week.

You're doing good ,if you need something just call. Don't pay much attention to people from people from NE ,you know how to do it.

"community service lads"?????

Oh yeah, I remember seeing them on the sides of the highways with their legs chained together swinging sickles and spreading hot patch. You got them to work on your place....how?

Some work release programs and Community service sentencs allow work for regular business that provides on site feed. A full farm meal, a little cash, time served credit outside can seem better than weak coffe/baloney sandwich/no time credit and clean toilets in jail. Judges review inmates behaviour for early release- hard farm work looks better than sitting in cell time- possible reformed/learned a lesson inmate gets a chance to walk earlier, brain impaired trouble maker is a public hazard- hold him a while. Dang that sounds good. I'm pretty sure around here they don't even let them work on the highways anymore. Something about "slave labor".
Terrible thing when they aren't even allowed to volunteer to do work and help pay their keep.

Wisconsin 'Huber' law for work release- one of jobs for prisoners was in brewery. Inmates have to pay daily rate to get out, months deposit in advance required for some jobs. Drunk drivers, child support arrears, misdemeanor pot smokers second+ offendors, good candidates for work release during day or sometimes night shift. Drug tests/drunk test/ contraband check on return to jail. Community service requirement as part of sentance for not jailed alternative conviction varies- charity work, rehab labor, low pay labor to show not messing up activity. Sheriff or probation or court clerks check completion. Haven't had too many bad incidents with letting low risk inmates out to work- one murder couple years back in Madison area. RN

These fellows are kinda making the last step before release, one was in jail for skimming goods of his transport loads the other for crimes related to a drug problem.

Both work like crazy and love being out here, both also have supervised day jobs too. The father of the people we hay with is involved with drug searches and checking in on house arrest people so he hooked us up.

The fellow last year didn't work out near so good, he was kinda lazy and broke about every piece of equipment.
