drum mowers again

The missus actually said we could upgrade our cutting system for next year (and the husband rejoiced). Would like to know if anyone is using a one or two drum mower behind a ferguson TEA or case VA series? Have been told the Ferguson would pull a small two drum mower, but am interested if anyone is acutally using one behind an older/low power tractor like these. Any info is appreciated.

I plead ignorance. I'm familiar with haybines, discbine, etc. Whats a drum mower?

The TEA20 would handle the two drum CCM T-135 53" with no problems. The Case VA likely would have problems even with the single drum 39" Star mower.

Drum mower don't take much power. My 34 engine hp tractor handles a two-drum mower easily. And it also works very well on a 25 engine hp Chinese tractor (Bison).

Wear googles, though. Things do sometimes fly out the front.
