Hi Guys, I friend called me to see if I was interested in what he called a "rotovator". It has a 3 point hitch, PTO drive shaft and is about 6 ft wide. Rides on two tires mounted on the outside, the odd thing I thought, is, it has straight tines almost like knives. I am wondering what this is used for , and do I need it? He's a friend and told me I can have it for a $100.00 Thanks, Dave

Dave 1, I have a Howard 60 rotovator, takes 45 hp to run with the curved tines. Maybe tines were changed so could be run with less HP. If you got it for $100.00 definantly good buy. Good luck with your Howard....Keith in Gods country

"If" it isn't made by Howard it isn't a rotavator.

I've seen those straight tined tillers before, and they aren't designed for nor do they do primary tillage.

As to whether you "need" it?? I guess that all depends on what your trying to do and i have no idea what that would be????

Robert

I ended up buying it, its a Howard p 60 rotovator . seems to be in exellent shape, has guide wheels on each side. will probably look into changing the tines. Dave
