As I mention below I had the wobble box on my 1209 go bad and repaired it with parts from a combine head.

What I have is a JD 215 grain flex-head. Mid-late 70s vintage. Head is shot and I held on to it for parts. The wobble box case and yoke bearing/seal holder is different and could not be used (mounting holes different). The wobble shaft has a little larger bearing in the wobble assembly (heavy duty for the longer knife?) and could not be put in my yoke. However the shaft length and diameter were the same as the original unit. So it would fit the case. The pulley mounting was identical. The yoke shaft length and diameter were also the same as the original unit, as was the knife arm mount. So I swapped the whole works. Spun it to make sure everything cleared. The cover looked swappable but I optd to use the original aluminum vs. the steel cover from the 215.

A break down of what came form what.

Case - 1209
Cover 1209
Bearings and seals - 1209
Wobble shaft & yoke assembly - 215
Yoke bearing housing - 1209
Drive pulley - 1209
Kinfe arm - 1209
