Hi Seth , I just got some time tonight to look at the computer . I got the bearings replaced in the drive and adjusted the guards , I'm in the process of rebuilding the upper roll support on the right end and some other fab work . I'll be turning a new pin for the roll seperation straps this weekend . The hole is egged out and making a stepped pin is easier than splitting the machine for now . I used it for my second cutting after adjusting the guards and was able to cut cleanly at 7mph . It still could use all new guards though . I found out that you can't beat them around too much or they break . I got new tines waiting to be put on it but I won't do that till I can get new bearings for the throws and the bars . I found the roll tension wasn't there so I adjusted that and set the roll spacing to spec . Until yesterday I haven't spent a dime on it . New tines for 2 bars = $ 46 . How much do you want for that other parts machine if you still have it ?

As you may have seen in my earlier post I got a elevator to lift hay . It had a bent ( about 45 degrees ) main sprocket shaft . I took that off this week and staightened it in the lathe and press we have at work . I got it back to within about 1/64th runout . Next thing with that is trying to mount a electric motor if someone say's it will work . Only one tractor you know and no room to put the tractor on it anyway where it has to be set up . On either side .

How's the disc doing this year ? Was the second cutting very good for you ? I only got 68 bales .!@~*&~ but the alfalfa was in full bloom . Next cutting I don't care about the alfalfa ! I'm letting the grass grow ! Probably won't cut again till late August or early Sept . , it depends on when and if the grass heads out .

I got the wood ordered for my hay rack , so that's the next project .
