Was just thinking about what you said about an equal angle hitch being a real chore for a p/u installation.

I take it that you have implements which hook to it that you pull down the road with your p/u.

If you take a lift pin of the proper size (like you have on the bottom of 3 pt implements) and a couple of correctly sized flat washers, you could make a quick puller for your receiver.

Might weld the threads to keep it from ever coming loose. Then when you wanted to pull implements, just pull out your trailer hitch insert, put in the other and away you go.

txgrn,thanks I have a receiver hitch that had the cat# 2 pin mounted on back in early '80's when I delivered JD equipment for a dealer.But the equal angle hitch that I was refering to as being a pain to hookup to a pickup is on a JD 336/346 hay baler! Have you ever seen one of those? The cat# 2 won't be of any help but I made a longer stinger for receiver hitch so I didn't have to remove the V shaped part of E/A hitch.Good part is the E/A hitch does stop u-joint noise.Tx Jim
