I have a new to me 8N with a model 19-8 Dearborn front loader. The hydraulic hose going to the pump is collapsed and twisted, and I don't know if the fluid level is where it should be. How do I check the fluid level, and what is the fix for the hose - just replace it, or is there some upgrade to do? Thanks in advance.

Replace the hose... the reinforcing in the rubber is probably damaged.
Check and see where your pump for the loader is powered from - probably PTO driven - may be off a belt on the engine. That's where the resevoir will be. Should be some kind of level plug or plug / cap with a dipstick on it.
Fill it until the fluid comes out the level hole or mark on the dispstick.
