Can anyone tells us the steps to setting the timing on this baler? One of the needles broke because of the plunger. When starting out empty the needles are to be down, but since we had already taken in half the field we didn't think that applied. But when we started the next day, the flywheel sheer pin broke because the needle had broken. We've jbwelded it together and will have to replace it if it doesn't hold. Help would be great.

Best thing to do is find the manual or have someone scan and send you the appropriate pages. It's somewhat complicated to explain here. I have a #9 and a #12 manual but no #10. |:<(| If you want a copy of either of the above let me know. One or the other will give you the steps but the dimensions might be wrong. I'd be surprised if the epoxy holds but if it does, you could send a testimonial to JB's! :D:D

You better find some stainless or nickel welding rods, and weld the needle back together. I"d be surprised if the JB weld works.
