The clutch, on the auger that feeds hay to the knives its slipping the bailer is clogging up. Can the clutch be tightened or does it need replaced.

Thanks
Kraig

Kraig...sorry about the Craig...just typed, didn't check spelling. :) Should have known better...have seen you around here for a long time.

I have scanned two partial columns from my 214 manual, but as far as I can tell, there's no way to put those on the forum since they don't really fall into the "Antique Tractor" category, and I don't have a picture gallery online that I can post them to.

If you'll send your e-mail address to [email protected] I'll e-mail both to you. They are fairly small jpg files - about 55-60 kB each.

Craig...do you have a manual? I have a 214WS, which is the wire version - don't know what the "S" means though. If I get a reply from you that you do, I won't bother, but otherwise will check mine at home tonight and reply from home.

Craig...I bought mine at the JD dealer, and not all that expensive. Bought the operator's manual, parts manual and I think the service manual.

I'll check it at home onight and reply.

You should be able to get a manual from the JD dealer, I just got one a month ago for the 14T we have and that baler is a lot newer then the 14T is.

Can't say yes or no on that one but I can give you a guess. If its any thing like the clutch on a 14T you can tighten it up. On the 14T it has 6 or more bolts with springs that you just tighten up a little to adjust the clutch.
