Tried baling again this evening and baler worked a little better. I am having a problem with the twine not being cut at times and releasing from the bill hook. It is a little more intermittent now. When it does this there is no twine in the twine disc, so I am wondering if it is missing the twine(twine disc) or if it is getting pulled out as hay is put into the chamber. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Am I reading correctly? Do you have two different problems? Knots that hang on the billhook and twine missing from the twine disc are two different problems. The twine missing from the disc is probably not enough tension on the twine holder spring, however, if you should open up the bale press you would find this would help a bunch as well. Knots sticking on billhook? That is one of the hardest problems to fix. It could be the knife, but alot of times it is not. For starters, the same fix as the first problem. Do NOT bale to tight. Open up the press and see what happens. Good luck, Steve

Thanks for the info. After looking around the knotters I found the twine disc tension springs you mentioned and they looked a little loose. I tightened them down a little bit more. I also loosened up the tension bars all the way and will adjust them a little at a time and see what happens. I also ordered some manuals from my dealer here so that should help out tremendously(I don't know how I got along with this old one that is only half there due to mice damage). Unfortunately, this baler has been used a lot before I got it and it is very loose. I plan on going through it this winter.
