This was first day it hasn't rained here in recent memory. Lots of guys got their hay down today. All of it's way beyond overripe. Mine will take several more dry days. Rode 4 wheeler through mud and standing water to take a look at the fields: and it's the middle of July!

In upstate ny we'v had rain from the first two tropical storms (arlene and cindy) and expect dennis to eventually mosey this way. It's been beastly hot, in 90's every day and humidity you can cut with a knife. I think the corn has grown a foot a day and some tasseled today, The earliest I can remember.

Here in Northcentral PA we got none yesterday. However about 10-15 miles from me they got a heavy storm. I could hear it thundering and seen some lightning.

Nothing here in Southern Ontario. So dry in our HARD clay county that when excavating for new homes, the clay 6'-8' down comes out just like sand ----- --now that's dry !!!!!

Dennis showed up here on Monday morning. We got about 1-1/2" early on, then it started drizzling, and hasn't ever completely quit. 2.80" so far, and STILL falling. Weather guessers saying 36 hours more before it's done.

Originally, we were pegged for 8 to 10", local flooding, and some severe storms. Most of that never materialized. Just dang happy to get what we got!

I'm absolutely certain I heard my soy beans say AHHHHH HHHHH HHHHH HHHHH HH! about 4 AM tuesday!

I wish I could send some your way, The storm before Dennis I got NINE inches in the rain gauge. I spent 5 hours on the dozer re-crowning the driveway and cleaning the ditches out getting ready for Dennis. Thankfully it went west of us but the forecast for the next 10 days is rain.

Tim,
You must be in the western part of the state. Here in the Raleigh area I took 2.12 inches last week with Dennis and another .46 since but we are still dry. I am looking to plant some Bahia with the No Till and we are hoping it will go in the ground enough to plant

That happens to me frequently. I'm in N. Texas and a lot of hurricanes pound the eastern gulf coast. So when a hurricane hits the gulf I think "Oh boy gonna get some rain" just to see it veer east to La. Miss. Alab. and all I can do is look in the eastern sky and sigh.....can see the clouds but they are a long way off.

Had a little hard shower. Probably an accumulation of 1.5" in 3 rains since July 1. None in most of May and none in June.

No rain in Lincoln, Ne. Officially at the airport reporting station we got .10. Out here at my house it was a few drops far apart, a couple of times. Just enough to raise the humidity and make it hard to breath. Lawns are starting to look like they been hit with roundup. Delbert from Lincoln Nebraska
