Square Baler Plunger Spear for Vent Hole

I was curious if anybody could tell me their experiences with these aftermarket spears you install on square baler plunger that form a vent hole through the center of each flake for drying. Additionally, where can they be purchased from, average price, and ease of installation?

They are easy to make- use solid shaft, 1 1/2 or 2 inches diameter, about 5-6 inches long. Mount it to a square plate about 3/8 or 1/2 inch thick- drill the plate so you can weld on both sides.Bolt the plate to the plunger head.

Forgot this- round off one end of the shaft- torch and grinder or turning lathe would work.

If you bale wet hay and don't treat it with chemicals or dry it with heat and forced air, it will mold whether the bale has a hole in it or not. I can't imagine it helps in filling the far side of the chamber.
