I was wondering if any one had any experience with removable teeth for a tractor bucket. I see them on ebay and it would be good to use these when I want to dig dirt and yet be removeable for grading etc. Anyone have experience with these or does anyone know of a company that makes them. This would be used on a model 40 JD bucket (48" wide)

Thanks

Bob

Not a tractor bucket but I have a set for my 60" wide skid loader bucket. They work great, they are notched and they slide on the bucket. They are held in place by one bolt on each side. It is very handy to remove them if you want to do any grading or such. They came with my skid loader so I don"t know the exact price but the guy I bought it said they were about $400.00

You might want to check a skid loader dealer and see if they have any, 48" might be a little small but it is worth a try.

I bought teeth for mine and welded them on. I can't think of any reason to ever remove them.

I have a older Bobcat, with teeth welded onto the bucket. When we want a smooth bucket, we tack weld a 3/16th or 1/4 plate to the underneath side of the teeth. When we want to go back to teeth, a few passes with the 4inch grinder and the plate is off. Works for us.
