Has anybody ever changed the outside track on the pickup head? A roller bearing when bad and ate a big chunk out of the track.

Thanks!

First off, please let me know if the pickup is standard or super sweep. There is a HUGE difference in what needs to be done to replace the track. If it is SS, the job is challenging but can be done without loss of religion. If you have standard pickup..... Well, let's just say that more than one preacher temperarily lost their religion. Let me know here or email and I'll try to walk you thru the job. Steve

I believe it to be a standard sweep. But I'm not 100% sure. It is my understanding that the super sweep is a wider head and has bigger pickup teeth. The teeth are this are about 2 - 3 inches wide.

There are 3 bearing on the pickup head using the track.

Also, is the track still available?

Keep in mind, I'm doing this from memory as I am at my real job.

Thanks!

The standard pickup has 4 bearings in the track and the SS has 6. The standard teeth are about 4" wide and the SS are about 2 3/4" wide. I sure hope for your sake it is a SS. Let us know, Steve

Looks like the pickup will have to come off the baler. The cam track is cheap enough, but it is gonna take some time to get there and back!
