Metric hydraulics on Sitrex wheel rake

Sitrex wheel rakes are good, but the hydraulic cylinder and hose are metric. If you want to buy a new metric hose at my local dealership (if you can find a metric hose), it costs almost as much as converting the rake to an American cylinder and American hose. It is possible to crimp the metric hose for a repair, but this can go on for only so long. Has anyone out there converted metric machinery to American hydraulics, and does anyone know of a supplier of an adapter to use an American hose on a metric cylinder?

Try your local New Holland or CaseIH dealer. If it is a larger Sitrex rake they are very similar to the CaseIH (WRX201 & WRX301) and New Holland (HT152 & HT154) wheel rakes (except paint and decals).

Sitrex uses the BSSP standard, JIC or O-Ring adopted by all of Europe. I do not know where you are getting your information but any good dealer or hydraulic shop can easily make hoses or fix their hyd. cylinders.

I couldn't say if they would have such thing, but check out "surpluscenter.com". They have a good assortment of hyd. parts among other things.
