I'll do my best to post a photo today for you all to see. NO idea what model it is. The junkman I got it from, says it was a john deere. There is enough green paint left on it to support his claim! This cultivator is a 3 pt, 2 row style, but it has no shields. The hillers can be taken off and shoes installed in their place, if desired. It has two angle iron cross bars with holes drilled every inch or so. The cultivator brackets are bolted onto these cross bars. It has two gauge wheels, one on each far side. There is a coulter right in the middle, under the cat 1 hitch, to keep it from swaying, I assume. With my trusty tape measurer, it looks like it is set up for 38" rows. I planted my corn in 30" rows. Thanks for the info so far. Here's what Ive learned: 1. set the shoes about 8" apart for a corn row, 2. push a little more dirt against the bigger corn plants, by traveling a little faster, 3. but go slowly for the small ones, 4. set the depth maybe an inch or two deep (max)???? (Im using a hydrostatic transmission, 30hp kubota - not a terrific row corp tractor, is it?)
