Hey Case Guys! Any one know about steel wheel side delivery rakes? This rake has been with the family for 35+ yrs and I would like to find some history about it. It has a gear driven set of tines off the large front steel wheels and has two small steel wheels in back. The gear box says CASE and has the small Eagle and globe cast on it. It's been 30yrs ago and I was only 12 since I used it for Dry land red oat hay and it worked great!! I hope to put it back to work next year.
Any info would help thanks, Calif.Farmall

Dad had one when I was a kid. Just barely remember it setting out in the yard waiting for the dealer to pick it up when he traded for a New Idea tractor rake on rubber. Those old rakes are wide to pull and slow but they will rake hay. I do have a couple junkers if you need parts.

Model 170 and you say you have parts. I have one that the gear box is tied up, bought it that way and haven't yet gotten around to terring into it yet to find out what is the matter, when I get it running it will be sold into an Amish comunity that I have delt with on other machinery items, have several other steel wheel rakes to rebuild along with several steel wheel manure spreaders. I am in west central Ohio and within 200 mile of 70% of the Amish in the USA
