I have a 442 - i put the twine in the box - ran it through all the guides - put it through the needle from the front to the back - then tied it to the back of the heedl holder or anywhere - then i trip the baler and it puts the string where it is supposed to be....
hope this helps - mine absolutely ties perfect - never missed a knot yet - ever -

where did u get your manual at? my cross foprk fingers don't seem to aggressive enough....

Chris I got my manual in mail. He did a real nice job on it. Three ring binder and very clear good pics. I'd buy from him. P.S. Just had to make a few simple corrections and it baled a 100 plus bales tonite like a champ.

There is a guy on E-bay selling reproductions. $15 plus shipping hope it is good quality, it should be here tomorrow. I'll let you know on quality. I think it's called Kenny's Allis store.
