Yes theirs carrige bolts and big flat washers that draws up the cutter bar and makes it rigid.

I need to bolt it up ridgid, I'm don't know how to. Someone has welded wear plates on the bottom of the head. I do see holes [5] on top in the back of the flex extention and holes underneath in the channel looking braces. If this is where the bolts go, I'll have to burn out "windows" to get the nuts on the bolts. This is my first flex head, brother had a old 105 25 yrs ago, was out of the combine scene for a while then got an AC 72, renting ground and raising beans know so got 4400 last yr. Thanks for any help.

The slot holes on top are just in front of feeder auger on the platform, will be holes directly undr that threw the flex channels that you said you seen holes in. Bolt sticks down through the hole and use a large washer over channel to hold it up. You have to push it all up first so bolts will draw it up. MAKE SURE IT IS NOT FULL OF DIRT UNDER ALL THE FRONT FLEX PLATE S AND CHANNELS FIRST,IT WON'T LIFT UP IF IT IS!!!!! . I use a handyman jack to lift it up. Raise the reel clear up so it is out of your way. Drop the SAFTEY STOPS DOWN ON BOTH THE HEASD CYLINDER AND THE REEL.I just use regular bolts with flat washer on top and large washer on the bottom channel. Last few seasons I have been cutting oats and rye with out locking ridged. I just cut like beans since I want all straw can get. and its clean
