Hello. I was wondering about steel wheels. What is a good selling price for a painted steel wheel for a lawn ornament? I am a Junior High School student and would like to paint steel wheels as a summer project, but I don't know what price I should put on the finished product. The wheels are off old implements like binders, seed drills, and threshers. I would appreciate any help on this topic.

Good luck I have bunches of them and lucky to get $10.00 piece. I make them into art then they will sell

Graham,
I have no idea of what the value of those would be if one looked at them as antiques. An Auction service or antique dealer in your area should be able to give you an idea. However, you may devalue them if they are painted - something to think about.
You could always figure the cost of the wheel, paint and how much you think is right for labor - then add a percentage to that for your profit.
