What is the proper level for the oic in the cutter bar. I bought it used with no manual.

Shane, I had the 281 model, and you let the driver's side down on the ground for 3-4 hours or overnite. Lets the oil drain towards the gear box. Look between the 3rd and 4th disc, on the back side of the cutterbar. On the bottom edge , you should see a spot for a hex wrench to fit in. Take out this plugand if gear oil dribbles out, you are ok. If no oil comes out , you can top up with 80/90 w extreme pressure gear oil. The fill hole is between the 3rd and 4th discs, but is usually tough to open. We use an oil can with a flexible rubber hose and add through the inspection hole. Much easier. Drain hole for the cutterbar is located at the end under the left side gearbox. I now own the KM 3201 model.
