What would a working JD grain binder be worth? Its always been shedded and is in good original condition. All it needs is grease.

Need a little more info. What shape are the canvases in? 6,7,8 or 10 foot? PTO or ground drive? What extra parts are included?

I have a 10 foot PTO and extra parts machine. 1 nearly new set of canvas and 1 usable set. Had the JD as a backup in case my IH fell down at cutting time. Local show has since got a JD of their own so don't even take my JD over any more.

As for value it would prodably take $1000 to take what I have for JD stuff home. I have about $400 invested in canvases alone.

btw just because the canvases look good when rolled up doesn't mean much. Unroll them and look at the webbing and check for rot close. The lower elevator (the widest one) will be wore the worst unless it was replaced.

HTH

Like all antiques regardless of the item. What will the seller take and how much will you give.If I had a place to store it and it is as good a shape as you say.I would give up to $250 for it. That is if I didn't have to haul it too far.
