Own a couple of plows and one of my favorite is a 4 bottom JD pullplow. It does a good job and is very easy to pull. Also own a 3 bottom Ih slat bottom. But anyway my point being both Oliver and JD(dont know about the rest)made or offered over 30 different plow bottoms.I dont know what number is on the Jd but they are perfect. So you could have a bad plow but it might not be the plows fault.

In AC plow bottoms they were all numbered. Things like 375, 377, 382, 393, 394...

I know what you're talking about. I have a JD 416 3-bottom 3-point plow that my grandfather bought new for his MF65. When you could still get the right shares for it, it pulled easy. But now, only one style is still available (and that's the one the aftermarket guys copied), and while the plow still works, it pulls harder.
