I'm looking for street chains for my MF-2135. Tires are 14.9x24.

Try the URL below - that's where I got my chains last year for my Ford 8N - cost me about $125 (for a pair) and shipping wasn't that bad.

I can't think of any good reason for buying a new set of tractor chains when good used ones can be had for $50 - $100 at local farm auctions. Sometimes the chains have hardly been used. You can buy used chains that are too large for your tires and just cut off the excess - save the extra for spare chain if needed for repairs.
Keep in mind that running the chains on a road will wear them out faster than anything!

Gemplers used to advertise on these pages has them. CT (888-8CT-FARM) has them. Most any farm supply store and probably most any tire store can get them, but they will ask a fair ransom.

You are better off paying local sales tax than freight unless the distant price is really super. They are heavy.

Les Schwab? If you go to one in a farming/logging area, they can probably make a set for you. I think they get their chain in bulk and make them to order.

Just take a wheel in to make sure you get the right size. ;o)

Actually, I was thinking about salvaging some truck chains for the harware and making my own set. Prices so far are upwards of $250 a set. I can buy a lot of chain for that.

Made a set from duel wheel truck chains Take the center chain out and attach the cross links and use the center chain to lengthen. Air chisel to open lengths and big hammer to close them and 2+/- hrs you have a good set of road chains. I have a friend who works for a trucking co. and he keeps an eye out for chains they intend to discard. Made a complete set from 3/8" proof chain. Took about 150' if i remember right and they are excellent field chains but probably beat you to death on hard pavement.
