I finally got to get the NH 489 in the field today. Calling for some nice weather in central PA. Although it was raining before I got done I put down about 10 acres. Hoping to start off with some baleage then work into some nice good smelling small squares.

Cut my first 7 acres a week ago tomorrow. Pretty much rained every day since here in western MN. Only a heavy mist this morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be the start of a long hot dry spell so hopefully will get the rest of my 105 acres cut soon. Have never gone this long with out making a bale in June. But am not complaining about all the rain..... well.... maybe just a little. :)

Second Cutting started here in Iowa in reply to farmertee, 06-15-2005 16:55:21
Just put down the first field of second cutting here in Boone County, Iowa. Need to get another field down to combat Leaf Hoppers. If the weather holds we will have all second cutting done on our farm in 10 days.

Jim
