I haven"t seen this issue addressed much. Somebody local almost got his fingers severed by holding on to a wagon hitch with his fingers in the clevis while somebody else was backing up a pickup truck to hook up. NEVER hold a hitch of any type with your fingers in the pinch point!

At the risk of sounding really insensitive, it would seem to me that a person who needs that kind of warning should also be warned that it isn't really a good idea to eat razor blades.

I"ve seen a lot of people pick up a wagon hitch that way, many of them with college degrees! It amazes me sometimes . . . . what seems like common sense to me is analytical trigonometry to someone else.
