Can anyone tell me how to replace the main belt on myNH 469? Looks like a real problem. Remove the wobble box and then the upper shafts?
Any insight would be great. How long it takes, things to look for etc. What size is the belt by the way? Not gone yet but its going. Also , does anyone know where I can get an owners manual for this unit?
Thanks in advance
tom

Jimmy, I had a 469 and was pleased that I did not have to replace my ragged belt. Other posts, good advice, get a manual. For the upper end of the belt you have to take the gear box loose and work the belt around the end of a shaft there. It is not a one man job, according to local dealer. 469 is a good machine, but sheet metal is thin so I would keep it sheltered.

Tom I don't remember how it is fixed on the upper end. As for the wobble box pull the sycle out a little take the 3 bolts out under the pivit, roll the wobble box pully around until you have room the slide the belt in, it will be very tight if I remember right.

Yes get the manual. It gives step by step instructions on this belt replacement. I read mine and said to myself. Hope I dont have to do that.
You can get manuals for NH balers from any NH dealer or you can call New Holland publications at 800-635-4913.

New Holland is good about getting the books out, I just bought one for a 467. Also, try Ebay. There are 2 or 3 outfits there selling manuals for most years and makes.
