I was wondering if anyone knows if a kit is made that has a snow blade that will fit the front of a tractor and use the 3 point hydraulic system on the rear of the tractor

Built myself a front mounted dozer blade for moving snow about 25 years ago.Use it every year,at least 10 times.use a Ford 851 tractor with tire chains. The blade is raised by a cable which is attatched to the 3 point hitch and runs over pulleys , and through the push pole.( no downward pressure on the blade of course)
wouldn't be without it!

I saw something like that at a spring auction this year. 'Contraption' is the word that comes to my mind, as it was all home built.

For me, I always want the weight on the back of the tractor where the traction is. Hanging a blade on the front of a tractor takes weight of the drive wheels, and the smaller front wheels tend to get moved around with the blade controling where you go, not the steering wheel.

But you might have a tractor better designed for it...

As a matter of fact I just saw what
you were talking about. The tractor
was made by Ford and it had a V shaped
front blade. It was really pretty cool.
Worked off the back 3pt hitch
