I figured I had better find twine before it's time to bale. Was going to use sisal 7200 in my old baler this year to see if that would cure some of the tying problems. Last year sisal 7200 was $23.00 this year it's $33.90. Plastic went up $10.00 too. Has the price of twine gone up in your area this year?

Just bought my summer supply of 9000 sisal at $24, with a $1 coupon off on each bale. Was $19 last year, anf I"ll swear that I bought last years stock this year. Sigh, storage charges.

We sell around 4000 bales of sisal twine a year. Our price is $28 for 16,000 and $26 for square baler twine. That is a $12 increase over last years price. There will not be enough sisal twine imported for the demand of 2005 season. All the twine will be sold and many people will be forced to purchase plastic twine.

here in west Indiana the natural twine is up $12 but the plastic has only went up 1 or 2 ... I like using the plastic for custom jobs and all the little squares but for my own use where I have to leave the bales scattered out in the pasture during the winter the plastic doesnt rot fast enough and sometimes my cattle get it in there hoofs... it makes for sore feet..

other than that small problem I like buying north american stuff (thats the plastic)
