My neighbor just gave me an older MM grain dril and I'm trying to find out any/all the info I can on it. Anyone have any ideas as to where to look for a model number or other info?
Thanks

It has large diameter steel wheels and a grass seed box.

Dad bought a new ten foot Moline drill in 1954, steel seed box, low rubber- I would guess the high steel wheels would be in the 40s, etc. Does yours have a steel box? I have two like my Dad's, but with grass seeders on. He bought his, along with an 8 1/2 foot Moline field cultivator, new for $750. That was also more than a typical month's milk check from 27 cows back then., Everything is relative. I think mine are a model PF3. Does yours have any info inside the lid- model, seeding rates, etc.? Older machinery usually had info on a plate on the frame, but they might have stenciled it on with paint on the frame with minor equipment like grain drills. I'll check mine later and let you know what I find.
