I have a small Parker gravity box, (10-15 bu.?), that I bought at an auction years ago. It"s about 4' long and 3' high. Does anyone know why these were made? How many? I can"t seem to find anything about Parker on the "net. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

OK--- here's the story on the Parker small wagons... Pioneer had Parker build those for displays at shows

they were still owned by Parker-- Parker wanted to store them in our shed after the 1995 FPS and told us we could have one for $900

Parker as anything but a name is gone-- and it is with the Killbros wagons.. I was not told it was under the UNVERFERTH banner I know the update kit we got for our 2600 wagon(purchased at the 1995FPS) didnt come from Unverferth or Killbro's part depot

we purchased Parker wagons because our great uncle (a welder for AC and later on his own) told us they were not the heaviest but were better built than the Killbro's-- the 2 wagons he sold us are still in use (late 1950's models)
the 1966 Killbros we got new is junk..

I have a friend who owns one of these. They were made as a salesman's sample. He acquired his new from a Parker dealer in the Upper thumb of Michigan while he was working for the JI Case Company in about 1970. He has the original bill of sale for it. He could tell you more about it, if you would like to talk to him, I could get you in contact with him. He lives in east central Indiana. He reapinted his a number of years ago and uses it in parades.

A few years ago as a partime business, somebody was building implements for pedal tractors and gravity wagons were one item. My guess is that this what you have. Last time I looked they were still in business. The toy forum could probably could give you more, and better information.
