I hooked up this mower to my AC D15 but I don't have an operators manual yet. Does anyone know what adjustments I need to make so that it will cut correctly.

Got one of these mounted on my 2550 JD right now. I also have the manual for it. I can take pictures and quote you the directions for all the adjustments necessary to make it mounted right so it will raise and lower the bar correctly. E-mail me and I will answer your questions.

Sickle mowers need sharp ledgers, sections, correct alignment of parts, light contact between the holddown clamps and the sickle, and correct knife register. Register means when you make one pass with the pitman arm, the extreme point of travel at each end, the sections will be centered on the center of the guards. Adjustment is found in the pitman arm.

Thanks JMS, I've all ready done that. I'm talking about ajusting the cable that lifts the bar and such.
