Rain rain go away.....

Last Friday and Sat... Then clouds and low 60's...Weds/Thurs Rain.... Sun More Rain coming.... Next Weds,Rain... Next Friday even More Rain..... . GRR..... ...

I measured 31 inches with mid to Late bud..... Boy do I need about 4 dry days..... ...

west central indiana is the same way. i drive truck all over state and saw a lot of ponds in fields.and my farm doesnt have any tile. and a clay type vigo soil. hoping to get tile put in this fall. one guy in area says they put in tile with one of those behind tractor jobs and were talking about putting it in just 30 inches deep. cant find anything online about what detphs and spacing for what type of soil.and a former neighbor is thinking bout cutting hay. which is a guaratee for rain!!

Hi Joe,
It is looking excactly like last year in northern Indiana. I knew an old timer that would cut when the alflafa was ready, not when the forcast was. I always was curious what his batting average on getting hay up with no rain on it? As I pass the local dealership, there are new tedders that are looking more tempting as the forcast continue to be tight on continous dry days. I believe you could knock a day off of drying with one of those. May have to go over it twice. It is looking it may be worth the investment.
