I found a drum mower Shows to be a PZ CM 165. P J. Zweegers en Zonen, Geldrpo Holland. It appears to be in fair to good shape. The gentleman als says he has all the paperwork and manual. The mower was his dads. He is asking $500. is this a good deal. Any comments would be helpful.. By the way I currently use a ford 501 sickle.

Go for it, it's a big improvement over the mower you have. I bought a CM-165 from CCM a couple of weeks ago and got to use it for the first time Sunday morning. I went out before church and cut a field that used to take 3-4 hours with my Ford 515 sickle mower in less than an hour with my new mower. It cuts a lot smoother too! I baled today and the field looks like a golf course. Much nicer than what I've been used to. Now I just need to sell my 515 :)

Hey Clark,
When you got to church after cutting your field did you tell the preacher that you had just witnessed a miracle or that you had just been converted?

Neither one, I kept my mouth shut so I wouldn't get a sermon about how Sunday is a day of rest! I got enough sermons preached directly to me when I was a teenager to last a lifetime :)

Actually, with my work schedule I have to get the work around my farm done any time I can and as quickly as I can. That was the main reason I decided to upgrade some of my equipment this year. When I saw we were supposed to have 4 or 5 days rain free I had to take advantage of it and get some hay on the ground. I figure the preacher could let me slide on working Sunday morning as long as I quit in time to be at church.

If the mower is in good condition it is worth $500. The CCM T-165 mowers are basically the same mower. Even most of our parts are interchangable.
