Hi again guys,

Just bought the 254 model and it is in nice shape. Little surface paint peel, not a biggy. I was looking at it and it looks like you can fix the arms in a up position and it pulls the cam follower out of the cam. Is this for tedding ? I would think so. I need to get the manual. My shop phone number is 508-651-2787 if any of you boys would be kind enough to call, I would call you back and I have a few questions. Thanks, if I am not here, leave a message. Thanks. John

That machine is different enough from anything else you've used that you need a manual. There are 2 tedder modes, gentle for leafy hay and aggressive for grass hay. Locking the tine arms out of the cam is aggressive. Leaving them in the cam is gentle. To rake you rotate the cam positioner in to the center on each rotor. To tedder you rotate them out away from the center.

Thats how it looked. I will be using the aggresive for sure on my stuff, heavy grass. Thanks for your advice, I think she will be good. Now, who wants to buy a NH56 ?
